This qualification is aimed at producing employees who manage traffic through and/or past roadwork sites. Duties would include directing traffic with a stop/slow bat or similar control device and also setting up and working with Traffic Control Guidance Plans in accordance with approved Traffic Management Plans.
To work as a Traffic Guidance Officer in NSW, it is a Safework NSW requirement that you hold a current Traffic Controller and Implement Traffic Management Plans competency card.

On Completion | On completion of training, successful participants will be provided with a Statement of Completion that will act as an interim certificate to gain the required workplace experience to be eligible for assessment. After successful completion of your practical assessment, participants will then be provided with a Statement of Attainment and a Safework NSW Traffic Controller and Implement Traffic Control Plans competency card. |
