The aim of this course is to provide HSRs, HSC Members and employees with knowledge and skills relating to:
- WHS Act legislative framework
- The role and functions of SafeWork and their interaction with HSRs
- Duties and responsibilities of PCBUs, Officers, Workers and other parties
- The nature of the consultation process with workers as required by the PCBU
- The safe work approach to work health and safety issues
- Election process for HSRs and disqualification provisions
- Health and Safety Committees (HSCs)
- The entitlements, rights and protections of an elected HSR
- Risk management and the use of risk controls
