Licence to Operate a Boom-type Elevating Work Platform

Participants will be provided with training and assessment to gain the competencies to operate a boom-type elevating work platform (EWP) where the length of the boom is 11 metres or more, in accordance with all relevant legislation.

Note: Competence in this unit does not in itself result in a High-Risk Work Licence (HRWL) to operate this plant.

Learning Live is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and as such, we are responsible for the quality of the training and assessment in compliance with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015, and for the issuance of AQF certification documentation.

On Completion On completion participants will receive a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment and will be supported to apply to SafeWork NSW for a national High-Risk Work licence (Work Platform)
Description This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to plan, prepare for, perform, and pack up EWP operations. Boom-type EWP means a telescoping, hinged, or articulated device used to support a platform to be elevated.
The unit applies to all workers who may be required to apply for a High-Risk Work Licence (WP).
Cancellation Cancellation fees apply if enrolments are cancelled 3 or less business days prior to the start date of the course.

  • Appropriate clothing including enclosed boots or shoes must be worn
