Conduct civil construction wheeled front-end loader operations

• Training & Assessment on Learning Live site or at the client’s site upon request
• Nationally recognised Statement of Attainment
• Access to plant and machinery (if on Learning Live site)

• Training & Assessment includes practical and theory
• The duration for this course varies depending on the candidate’s experience
• 1-3 days training in a classroom and practical environment
• Completion of a logbook is required during on-the-job training with a minimum of 10 hours practical experience recorded.

Assessment Only – Experienced operators may choose an assessment only pathway. This would require the candidate to provide additional evidence and sit the theory and practical assessment components.

Evidence required for this pathway may include (but not limited to):

• Supporting evidence – third party/supervisors workplace supervisor report
• Logbooks
• Evidence of prior training – superseded units of competency
• Previous WorkCover NSW tickets

This unit alone does not provide sufficient skills to independently load and unload equipment. To perform this activity safely, personnel must either complete or be assisted by someone who has completed RIIHAN308F Load and Unload Plant or equivalent.

• Planning and preparing for work
• Conducting routine checks
• Attaching, securing, lifting carrying and placing materials using the machine
• Relocating the front-end loader
• Maintanence and other housekeeping tasks
