This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to responsibly sell or serve alcohol and to satisfy the requirements for responsible sale and service of alcohol (RSA) under state or territory legislation.

Career Outcomes This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to responsibly sell or serve alcohol.
On Completion Participants are supplied with a National Statement of Attainment once their coursework has been marked and the course is completed. This entitles the participant to use their RSA throughout Australia, not just NSW. They also receive an Interim Certificate which they take to a Service NSW centre which supplies a Competency Card and photo services.

Cards typically take three weeks to arrive after attending a Service NSW centre. Delay can mean expiry of the Interim Certificate’s 90-day work period with the result a student cannot work in relevant roles. Participants are encouraged to attend a Service NSW centre as soon as they complete the course, as soon as possible after the course is completed.
Description This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to provide responsible service of alcohol, and to assist those customers who may display issues relating to alcohol consumption.
Cancellation Cancellation fees apply if enrolments are cancelled 3 or less days prior to the start date of the course.

Requirements
  • Training and assessment must be completed in English (no interpreters or outside assistance can be used during the licence assessment)
  • Training and assessment must be completed in New South Wales
  • Appropriate clothing including covered shoes or boots are required on our site
  • Photo identification
